Dental restorations need to be sculpted as perfectly as possible for a comfortable and natural-looking fit. In the past, this has been a fairly difficult process, but thanks to CEREC® technology, we can easily construct them while you’re here for your appointment!
What is CEREC®?
The process starts with the CEREC® Omnicam, which is a tool we use to scan your teeth, transferring the data to a computer for an accurate digital model. This model is so detailed that we can even determine the color of your teeth throw the software.
We use the same software to design the restoration, whether it be for crowns, inlays, onlays, or veneers. In most cases, your dentist would have to send this off to a lab, but when you visit our Pottstown office, we have our own milling machine. The machine interprets the design into a real restoration in only 10 to 15 minutes.
What would otherwise be a multiple-appointment treatment can be completed in only one!
Do I Need CEREC® Technology?
If you want to skip the hassle of multiple appointments and temporary restorations, you should see a dentist who uses CEREC® technology. The method is efficient, safe, and convenient.
What Are the Benefits of CEREC®?
- You’ll leave the office with your restoration on the same day
- Accurate data thanks to the CEREC® Omnicam
- Restorations look and feel real
