As a young girl, Dr. Kim wanted to become a dentist and a concert pianist. She has achieved half of that dream and is still working towards the other. Dr. Kim received her B.S. in Biochemistry and Cell Biology at Rice University in Houston. She then attended University of Pennsylvania where she earned her D.M.D. in addition to Honors in both Community Oral Health and Medically Complex Care. She completed her oral surgery externships at the Philadelphia VA Medical Center and Princess Marina Hospital in Botswana. Upon graduation, she received the Dr. Earle Banks Hoyt Award and stayed on as a faculty member.

Dr. Kim is a member of American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and Montgomery Bucks Dental Society. She is to receive her Fellowship in the Academy of General Dentistry in 2022. She enjoys exploring nature, swimming, and reading nonfiction.
